Writer's Block: Book worms unite!

What are the three best books you have ever read and what are the three worst? What made them so good or bad?
3 best - 1. The Book of Tobias by Sylvie Germain - A reworking of an apocryphal Biblical story in which the angel Raphael accompanies Tobias on a journey which Germain transfers to modern day rural France.
2. Letters from the Earth: Uncensored Writings by Mark Twain - Archangel Satan, having been banished for a celestial day for his sarcasm regarding the creation of natural law and mankind, visits the Earth and writes letters to his friends, the Archangel's Michael and Gabriel, about his discoveries of mankind and their beliefs.
3. The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger - A 16-year old American boy relates in his own words the experiences he goes through at school and after, and reveals with unusual candor the workings of his own mind. What does a boy in his teens think and feel about his teachers, parents, friends and acquaintances?

I couldn't tell you what the 3 worst are because if they are indeed that bad I've never been able to get through them and thus, cannot list them. Like games and movies, if I haven't been able to complete it I can't list it as something I think is really great or absolutely horrid. Can tell you tell you if I had enjoyed it up to that point or not, but I can't say if it was anything other than that.
