I have an appointment on the 10th to see how bad my thyroid is.  It's a two day long appointment and apparently melissa, while she was in germany found out that she has a thyroid problem too (no surprise there) but she ignores hers.   I wasn't surprised to hear that, fat bitch.  God, I miss katie as much as she annoys me.  Should go visit them sometime this weekend so I can get over them because I think I just miss working for charlene.

I'm usually a pretty insensitive and jerkish person but this is really getting to me and making me cry.  I'm sick of fat people and I'm sick of intentionally anorexic and bulimic people.  But don't worry, I'll be over this in the morning and you can go on and make skinny jokes and I can go on to yelling at my roomies about being fat again.

That's what I plan on doing with mine.  Ignoring it.  As long as I have a scale (and when they get done with the house I'll get that) I'll be good.

I hate collins college commercials.  IT'S NPOT EVEN A QUARTER THAT EASY ASS/hATS!  But then that
s how you get your money, making it look simple.

A scale really does help with the thyroid issues. I came across mine randomly after the second dr's appointment and have been weighing regularly ever since, which is both how I knew that I'd dropped 10 lbs in under 2 weeks and how I knew that my weight seemed to be stabilizing again. I still probably will keep getting my thyroid checked regularly, just because of the family history, personal history, and the lithium, but unless I start dropping rapidly again or start getting other symptoms, I'm gonna try not to worry about it.

Oh, and I do have one little weight gain trick that I used when I went into deep mourning after my father died and I dropped about 12 lbs in 3 weeks, mainly from forgetting to eat. I starting drinking a SlimFast shake with every meal and making it with whole milk instead of the skim milk that it says to use. I might pick myself up some of that soon and start doing that again. The stuff definitely helps, even when you can't handle solid foods, which sometimes happens with my meds.

Yeah, that's why I really want one and am never too terribly happy not having one. When I lost my 10-12 pounds (I think it might have been more like 12) it was because I didn't have access to a scale and couldn't monitor what was going on and reverse it as soon as it started happening.

That's a really good idea, thanks for sharing! I'll have to try it. :)
