What do you think is too serious to joke about?
There really is nothing that's not too crazy or serious to joke about. It really just depends on the person you're around when you do the joking and how uptight they are.

FOR EXAMPLE: My ex, though he really hates for me to point it out at times, is a bit mentally retarded. It's a joke between him, myself and our roomie but he tells me when it's not ok to say it and I'll drop it. Or tell him he's being rediculous. :)

And I myself have been in the hospital more times than I care to count, and am mentally unstable. In the crazy and psychotic way. I have ADD, SAD,  depression, james thinks I'm MP and I'm too drunk to care what all else right now. Those are just my memorable ones. Hell, I live less than a block away from a mental facility and for a time worked with the most wonderful children, who are the biggest and brightest retards of us all.

ANYWAY, my point is that the only people who have a problem with mental disorders or deficiancies are the ones that don't have them and can't understand the jokes in them. How many centuries have we been going through this? Every 50 to 100 years we have to find a new name for it and every 50 to 100 years we decide that name isn't serious enough anymore and have to come up with a new one.

It's not fair.

Get over it and leave us alone. We can defend ourselves and will let you know when we're uncofortable with what you're saying. Just because you're extra sensitive doesn't mean we are too.

God damn my laptop is huge.

That's what I live to do. :) I think sometimes people think my honesty is intimidating though.

Most of the funny T-shirt ideas I have take swipes at mental disorders or non-heterosexual orientation, and so far, anyone with one or the other seems to find them hilarious! I should do a depression one based on something I've actuallysaid to a psychological evalutor.

Psych eval: Have you ever attempted suicide?
Me: Yes.
Psych eval: Do you have any intention of making another attempt?
Me: No, my first attempt failed and I don't think I could handle another failure in my life right now. (I said that while looking down, sounding completely hopeless, with obvious recent cuts all over my arms. And they DIDN'T lock me up in psych ward, just suggested that I call a friend when I got home that night.)

Grrr! That last comment got posted wrong. It was supposed to be a reply to the original entry, but it won't let me delete for some reason.
